Stephen Hitch is a retired Architect, having once had the largest practice in Plymouth. His experience centred on Commercial and Leisure buildings, and was responsible for raising funds and designing the Tennis Centre.
A retired Civil Engineer I have been a club member for about 25 years and director and treasurer since January 2016. I am particularly proud of the club's programme to enable young people to play tennis.
Andy has been a Company Director for many years and brings his vast experience of operating all aspects of running a business to the Tennis Centre.
Born in Sheffield and aged 10.5 years old I was inspired by Roger Taylor (Wimbledon Semi Finalist) and represented Yorkshire Ranked No.2. I competed full-time for six years and relocated to Plymouth in 1985 to run a coaching business for 33 years.
I am the Manager of SDTC and have been playing tennis all my life. I was brought up around tennis as all my family play and every evening was spent on the tennis court or helping out where needed.
I became a member of the tennis club in 1998 and volunteered for the committee in 2018. I particularly enjoy the singles and doubles box leagues - there surely isn't a more friendly club anywhere and our indoor courts are second to none.

I have been a member of the club since 1995 and regularly play in the ladies P&D teams and also the South Hams mixed league. I was Treasurer from 1998 to 2007.

We moved to Devon in 2001 and I have been a member at South Devon Tennis Centre since 2002. I am now semi-retired and enjoying playing even more tennis!
I have been a member of SDTC for many years. Now retired, I have 33 years experience in teaching & leadership roles. With extensive knowledge & experience of safeguarding policies & procedures, and an Inspector for the Independent School Inspectorate, I have reviewed & assessed the arrangements for welfare in many schools.
